Who we are?

As one of the most harmonious piano duo with enchanting personal sound with highly refined interpretation of intelligence and musicality criticism refers to the Aachen piano duo of two Ukrainians Alina and Dimitri Wesselowski .

 

The Aachen piano duo – Alina and Dimitri Wesselowski -came together in 2007.Up to the point of establishing that the musicians have emerged as a solo pianist and chamber musician. After becoming of Prizes of major international competitions for piano duos (Valberg - France, Bialystok - Poland), lead the musicians active concert performer.

In 2011, the duo receives the Special Prize of the Chopin Institute in Warsaw. In professional piano duo (with postgraduate qualification), the musicians were masters student of Prof. Hans-Peter and Volker Stenzl at the Academy of Music and Theatre in Rostock. Since 2012 are Alina and Dimitri Wesselowski been a guest lecturer at the National Music Academy of Ukraine in Odessa.

Alina Wesselowski

 

Alina Wesselowski (Novik) was born in 1985 in Donetsk. Right from the beginning of her professional career, she was called a child prodigy. She gave her first piano concert at the age of eight. She was eleven years old as she performed the second piano concert by Beethoven with an orchestra. Alina started her studies at the National Tchaikovsky Music Academy in the Ukraine at the age of 16 and graduated successfully in 2006. During her studies in Kiew, she participated in numerous international competitions as a solo pianist: some of her achievements include awards at the II. International Competition of Anatoly Zatin, at the V. International Competition of Vladimir Horowitz, at the International Seiler Competition and the International Competition of Vladimir Viardo. Since 2006 Alina took classes by Professor Ilja Scheps at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln. Later completed she postgraduate study by Professor Mrs. Manja Lippert at the Hight School of Music Münster. 

Dimitri Wesselowski

 

Dimitri Weselowski took his piano studies at the Conservatory of Odessa with Professor Anatoli Kardaschov. After graduating as a concert pianist, he worked as an instructor and répétiteur in Odessa and later obtained his master of music arts there. Dmitri continued his studies at the Musikhochschule Köln with Professor Rische and has passed the final examination successfully.

As a solo pianist and chamber music performer, Dimitri Wesselowski constantly participates various in international performances. He is a laureate of numerous national and international piano competitions.
